Restoring Joy
Monday morning messages
Many more mails
Minutes feel motionless
Time, perhaps merciless
Seeing their melting moods were
Mixed with madness and mourning
Garrulity was your sign of dementia
As if it was your manifesto
Seeing them mapping out their lives that were
Mixed with misery and mystery
Ironically, marked in my memory
Stuck like magnets
Mountain on a misty day
Moments captured by megapixels
Humming a melody
Watching the Maleficent movie
Mopping up the mess
From making macadamia macaron
The kitchen marble is not just a place to make some homemade mason jar mayonnaise
It’s also a place to journal the journey because every patient has a story
Wondering about what they told me about magnolia bark
As they hope for a magic pill
While diseases and determinants of health multiply
We can say words that are less mind-boggling to patients,
when we are ready to feel again
