This painting is inspired by one of my favorite artists, Iris Scott. The painting is a representation of my identity as a person. The centre of the painting illustrates a woman in a detailed colourful kimono marching forward alongside a horse through a forest at twilight. The woman marching forward towards her destination represents ambition. The horse, lush forest floor and vibrant sky celebrates the beauty of animals and nature. Vibrant colours represent optimism and creativity. Art is a way of expressing ourselves. As a medical student, I have always been driven to work towards future goals to achieve my dreams. And my love for nature and animals keeps me grounded and appreciate the gift of human life. Paintings we make or appreciate convey our values and vision.
